From the Editor's desk
Welcome to the fourth issue of Ghudsavar!
It has been a very busy period for me on the work front, so this issue is slightly delayed in publication, but I hope all the excellent poems published here will more than make up for it. The issue again contains a good number of both Hindi and English poems. I am very happy to notice that I have started receiving submissions from all ages, even teens, from all corners of the world, including those families and towns where reading has not been a hobby or tradition. The need for me to establish Ghudsavar was precisely this, especially when it concerns Hindi poetry: to serve as a platform, without compromising on the merit of the poetic work, for people who otherwise may not have seen themselves as poets. And I am happy to think that in its own little way, Ghudsavar is discovering new, unlikely gems of writers! After all, there is a poet in most of us, but if you do not water a seed, it won't germinate at all.
Meanwhile, Ghudsavar is also proud to announce that recently the magazine submitted its first ever nominations for Best of the Net anthology (for English poetry) as well as those for the inaugural Ghudsavar Prize (instituted by Ghudsavar itself, for Hindi poetry published online). You can read the nominated poems here (English ones) and here (Hindi ones), with the Ghudsavar Prize winning poet to be announced in a few days' time!
Happy reading, and keep the feedback going!
